We'd like to get another cat, but before we do that, we want to switch our kitty from canned food to real cat food. Meow!
Growing up, our [unmentionable quantity of outdoor] cats ate the leftovers of our Mom's food prep. She kept uncooked fish bones, heads, whatever; the "odd" parts of chicken, etc, for the cats, and we would hear a huge chorus of Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeow!, and those troopers would rush in like ancient Egyptian charioteers, and they'd lap it all up. Yum-yum!
I knew it was wrong to give canned food to a cat, but here in USA, that's much better than having the cat eat kibble.
Anywaaaaay, I'll likely have to supplement real cat food with canned food due to $$$ limitations :-( I feel bad, but it's still an improvement.

Random thoughts
One day, I'd like to screen the porch, and part of the yard, so cats can be outside more often. It's so sad that cats here can't roam free...
I wonder if chicken wire would be good enough. I've seen people do it with window screen, but that's probably expensive!
